JW Scheduler can quickly and easily manage and receive Literature Requests.
Literature Requests can be made via the NW Publisher app, or manually entered by the Literature Servant.
To view and edit Literature and Literature Requests, click Congregation > Literature

Literature Requests
The Literature Requests view shows a list of all Literature Requests, including the current Status of the request.
Literature Requests are automatically deleted after 6 months.
You can Filter the Literature Requests by Status, or Search.
Status
- Note: The Status is for the Literature Servant and other elders only. Publishers do not see their Literature Request status.
Publisher Requested. The publishers has requested the literature.
JW.org Requested. The literature has been requested on JW.org (i.e. ordered).
Received. The literature has been received by the congregation.
Delivered. The literature has been delivered to the publisher. This is for your reference only. You could now delete the Literature Request.
Cancelled. The literature request has been cancelled. This is for your reference only. You could now delete the Literature Request.

Add Literature Request
- Note: New Literature Requests can also be sent by publishers using the NW Publisher app. These must then be Imported and will display as Publisher Requested.
- Click Congregation > Literature > Literature Requests
- Click New
- Select either Literature Item or Free Text
- If you selected Literature Item, select both the Category and Literature
- Note: New Literature Items can be added under Literature Items
- If you selected Free Text, type in the name of the Literature
- Enter the Quantity
- Enter the Language
- Optionally, enter any Notes
- Select the Person who requested the literature
- Set the Status
Delete Literature Request
- Note: If a publisher deletes their Literature Request on the NW Publisher app, this will not delete the request in JW Scheduler. It must be manually deleted by the Literature Servant.
- Note: Literature Requests will be automatically deleted after 6 months.
- Click Congregation > Literature > Literature Requests
- Select the Literature Request
- Click Delete
Literature Items
The Literature Items view shows a list of all Literature Items that have been entered in JW Scheduler. Literature Items can then be requested via Literature Requests or using the NW Publisher app

You can also add new Literature Items for your congregation only.
You can Filter the Literature Items by Category, or Search.

Add Literature Item

- Click Congregation > Literature > Literature Items
- Click New
- Select the Category
- Enter the Item Number
- Enter the Symbol
- Enter the Title
Delete Literature Item
- Note: Default Literature Items that come with JW Scheduler cannot be edited or deleted inside JW Scheduler. To translate or edit these, please see Improve JW Scheduler Translation
- Click Congregation > Literature > Literature Items
- Select the Literature Item
- Click Delete

No. It isn’t the publishers concern what happens to their request after they make it. E.G. They don’t need to know how and when an item is ordered from the branch, or when it arrives at the congregation.
JW Schedules tries hard to imitate the real-world ‘paper’ system as much as possible, and not introduce unnecessary complications.
For example, a publisher requests a literature item from the literature servant, and then some time later they receive it. That is the way it is supposed to be done, and that is what JW Scheduler does.
No. If you wish to add a Literature Items that doesn’t fit in any of the categories, please use the Other category.
