Import Members from CSV

JW Scheduler strongly believes your congregation and member data is your own, and you should be able to Import and Export your data as you wish. We also believe that as true Christians, it is both reasonable and right to allow data exchange between other JW scheduling programsJW Scheduler supports Importing and Exporting Members into a variety of common file formats.

Import Members from CSV

Important Notes - Please read first

  • If you have not yet created a JW Scheduler Congregation, please see Create a Congregation or Import a Congregation. The following information is only for importing Members into an existing JW Scheduler Congregation.
  • If you want to import Members from Majestic KHS, Hourglass or TSWin, DO NOT USE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Please see Import Members from Majestic KHS, or Import Members from Hourglass App, or Import Members from TSWin.
  • You should not enable Congregation Sharing until after all Importing has been fully completed. If Congregation Sharing is already enabled, it is best to disable before importing.
  • If the First name and Last name exactly match an existing member, the member will be merged. Otherwise a new member will be created.

JW Scheduler can import member data from a CSV (comma separated value) file. This allows you to use import member data from lots of sources, such as Excel Spreadsheet, into JW Scheduler.

  1. Ensure your CSV file is comma delimited
  2. Ensure your CSV file includes a HEADER row which describes the fields
  3. Ensure your CSV file is saved with the extension .csv
  4. Ensure your CSV file only contains fields described in CSV Format below
  5. Click Members
  6. Click Import
  7. Click from CSV file
  8. Locate the file on your computer, and click Open
  9. The Members will then be imported.

JW Scheduler currently supports the following Member fields only. The fields must be named exactly as below (not case sensitive)

Problems Importing CSV files

If you have problems Importing from CSV:

  1. Ensure your CSV file is comma delimited
  2. Ensure your CSV file includes a HEADER row which describes the fields
  3. Ensure your CSV file is saved with the extension .csv
  4. Ensure your CSV file only contains Supported CSV Fields
  5. If you have done all of the above and still have problems, please Contact Us for assistance. Please include a copy of the CSV file and screenshots of the steps you are performing, and any errors.
