Import Members

JW Scheduler strongly believes your congregation and member data is your own, and you should be able to Import and Export your data as you wish. We also believe it is fair and right to allow data exchange between other scheduling programs.

Therefore, JW Scheduler supports Importing and Exporting Members into a variety of common file formats.

  • Note: If you have not yet created a JW Scheduler Congregation, please see Create a Congregation or Import a Congregation. The following information is only for importing Members into an existing JW Scheduler Congregation.

Import Members from a congregation using JW Scheduler

  1. Ask the other congregation to Export their Member(s) as a JW Scheduler file. (See Export Members)
  2. Click Members
  3. Click Import
  4. Click from JW Scheduler file
  5. Locate the file on your computer, and click Open
  6. The Members will then be imported.

Import Members from Majestic KHS

Please first Contact Us for and ask for instructions on how to Import Members from KHS into an existing JW Scheduler congregation.

Import Members from Hourglass App

  1. First you must use the Hourglass website to Export the congregation.
    1. Visit https://app.hourglass-app.com/ and login.
    2. Click Congregation > Export
    3. Download the hourglass-export file to your computer, e.g. My Documents.
  2. Click Members
  3. Click Import
  4. Click from Hourglass App
  5. Follow the instructions and click Import
  6. The Members will then be imported.

Import Members from TSWin

First Export from TSWin

  1. Update your TSWin software to the latest version.
  2. Open TSWin
  3. Click File > Export or Import > Export to XML
  4. Select Active Publishers > click ‘Select All’ button > click OK button
  5. (Optional) Repeat Step B, then select Inactive Publishers > click ‘Select All’ button > click OK button
  6. (Optional) Repeat Step B, then select Non-publishers > click ‘Select All’ button > click OK button
  7. Close TSWin

Import into JW Scheduler

  1. Open JW Scheduler
  2. Click Members
  3. Click Import
  4. Click from TSWin
  5. Follow the instructions and click Import
  6. The Members will then be imported.

Import Members from CSV

JW Scheduler can import member data from a CSV (comma separated value) file. This allows you to use import member data from lots of sources, such as Excel Spreadsheet, into JW Scheduler.

  1. Ensure your CSV file is comma delimited
  2. Ensure your CSV file includes a HEADER row which describes the fields
  3. Ensure your CSV file is saved with the extension .csv
  4. Ensure your CSV file only contains fields described in CSV Format below
  5. Click Members
  6. Click Import
  7. Click from CSV file
  8. Locate the file on your computer, and click Open
  9. The Members will then be imported.

JW Scheduler currently supports the following Member fields only. The fields must be named exactly as below (not case sensitive)

Problems Importing CSV files

If you have problems Importing from CSV:

  1. Ensure your CSV file is comma delimited
  2. Ensure your CSV file includes a HEADER row which describes the fields
  3. Ensure your CSV file is saved with the extension .csv
  4. Ensure your CSV file only contains Supported CSV Fields
  5. If you have done all of the above and still have problems, please Contact Us for assistance. Please include a copy of the CSV file and screenshots of the steps you are performing, and any errors.
