Public Speaker Sharing

JW Scheduler Public Speaker Sharing allows you to share your local Public Speaker information with nearby congregations, as well as Send and Receive Requests for Public Speakers directly from within JW Scheduler.

Public Speaker Sharing is self-managed by all congregations within a circuit. Since elders already personally know other elders in their circuit, this ensures Public Speaker Sharing remains secure.

Public Speaker Sharing has been designed to be fully integrated with existing JW Scheduler Public Talk Scheduling, which means you can easily schedule some congregations manually, and some via Public Speaker Sharing.

  • Note: We kindly request each person who uses Public Speaker Sharing first spend a few minutes reading these Help pages and learning how Public Speaker Sharing works and how to correctly use.

Congregations in Circuit

Public Speaker Sharing is self-managed by all congregations in that circuit. This means that any congregation already in that circuit can Approve or Deny another congregation from joining that circuit. Since elders already personally know other elders in their circuit, this ensures Public Speaker Sharing remains secure.

Congregations in Circuit shows any congregations in your circuit who have Requested to join that circuit, including their current Request Status. Congregations who have Requested to Join, but have not yet been Approved or Denied, are shown in orange.

Once a congregation is Approved, your Public Speakers will be shared with them, and theirs will be shared with you. You can Request their speakers, and they can request your speakers.

To Approve a Congregation:

  1. Click Congregation > Public Speaker Sharing > Congregations
  2. Select your Country
  3. Select your Region
    • Note: A list of Circuits that have already been created in this region will now be displayed.
  4. Select your Circuit
  5. Select the Congregation
  6. Check their Details (shown in red) and ensure you recognize and trust this congregation. You could even message or email them to confirm they made this request.
  7. Click Approve
  • Note: The newly approved congregation can now Share Public Speakers and make Public Speaker Requests with all congregations in that circuit. They will need to close and re-open JW Scheduler to refresh their Approval status.

To Deny a Congregation

  1. Click Congregation > Public Speaker Sharing > Congregations
  2. Select your Country
  3. Select your Region
    • Note: A list of Circuits that have already been created in this region will now be displayed.
  4. Select your Circuit
  5. Select the Congregation
  6. Click Deny
  • Note: You would generally not Deny a congregation who was already Approved, unless their Approval was a mistake. If you Deny a congregation that was already Approved, and already has outstanding Public Speaker Request, you will cause problems for that congregation.

Guest Congregations

Guest Congregations shows congregations who are in a neighbouring circuit, but have Requested to join your circuit. Once Approved, they will also Share your Public Speakers and are able to make Requests of congregations in that circuit.

Important: Guest Congregation Sharing is one-way sharing. This means any Guest Congregations can receive your Public Speakers and can make Requests of your speakers, but you will not be able to see theirs or request theirs. If you would like to share and request their speakers, your congregation must join their Circuit as a Guest Congregation.

The reason for this is simple: Not all congregations in a circuit want to receive or request speakers from another circuit. Therefore if you want to do this, you must join that circuit as a Guest Congregation.

Guest Congregations are Approved and Denied in the same way as regular Congregations.

Delete Circuit

  1. Click Delete Circuit to delete the circuit and all data.
  • Note: You can only do this if no other Approved Congregations exist in this circuit.

Disable Public Speaker Sharing

  1. Click Disable Sharing to disable Public Speaker Sharing.
  2. You will then be given the option to remotely delete your Public Speaker data from all congregations in that circuit. We recommend selecting No, especially if you have sent or received any Public Speaker Requests.
  • Note: You should first Cancel or Deny any outstanding Public Speaker Requests before disabling sharing.
